NGV Gala

A highlight of Australia’s cultural calendar, the NGV Gala is an all-inclusive Black Tie celebration combining art, design, fashion, performance, fine food and drinks. Taking place on Saturday 14 December 2024 the NGV Gala Party commences at 8pm.

In 2024 the NGV Gala will coincide with the opening of Yayoi Kusama, the largest ever exhibition of the artist’s work in Australia and one of the most comprehensive presented globally. Guests will have exclusive access to this exhibition, including Kusama’s iconic immersive installations and infinity rooms.

As NGV Gala is a pre-sale event only, we are unable to offer ticket sales at the door on the evening.

You will receive a booking confirmation email upon purchasing and your unique ticket will be emailed closer to the event. This ticket will be required for entry upon arrival. You will be asked to present this ticket either on your mobile device or as a hard copy.

We are unable to provide discounts for groups, NGV Members or reciprocal memberships for this event.

NGV Gala tickets are input taxed and are not tax deductible.

The Gala Party commences at 8pm on Saturday 14 December and the evening will conclude at 1am on Sunday 15 December.

Guests are asked to enter the event via the Waterwall entrance at NGV International, 180 St Kilda Road, Melbourne. Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy exquisite food, drinks and entertainment – all included in the price of the ticket.

The dress code for the evening is Black Tie.

Guests must be over 18 years of age to attend.

Event photographers will be capturing arrivals and the event proceedings throughout the evening.
