This summer explore NGV by night with after-hours access to Gabrielle Chanel. Fashion Manifesto and all levels of NGV International open until 9pm Mondays to Thursdays, plus DJs, dining, bars, French cinema and more.

Weekly resident DJs provide the perfect soundtrack to start your evening at NGV. Line-up includes Rainbow Chan, RONA, MzRizk, and Edd Fisher.

Paris on Film Cinema

Great Hall, NGVI, 3 – 27 Jan
Mon – Thu, 7 – 9pm

The allure of Paris has captivated filmmakers across generations. Be immersed in the sights and sounds of the City of Light with nightly drop-by cinema screenings set within the heart of the Great Hall. Snacks, charcuterie and drinks available from Gallery Kitchen to enjoy in the Cinema.

Sundays, 12 – 6pm

Cool off in the NGV Garden and enjoy a cocktail and bite to eat by the waters of pond[er]. Immerse yourself in the space as you explore the flora and water of the pink pond designed by Taylor Knights with James Carey. In the event of wet or extreme weather, enjoy cocktails, wine and good food from Gallery Kitchen on Ground Level.

NGV Summer Nights will see a pop-up outlet in the NGV Garden. Surrounded by pond[er], an aquatic installation designed by architects Taylor Knights and artist James Carey evoking Victoria’s pink salt lakes, visitors can enjoy a range of deli-style sandwiches, including the Reuben, beef & pickles and vegan ‘pulled pork’ jackfruit, as well as gelato and pond[er] inspired sweets. In the event of wet or extreme weather, enjoy cocktails, wine and good food from Gallery Kitchen on Ground Level.

Drop by Drawing

Salon Gallery, NGVI, 9 – 30 Jan
Sundays, 2 – 4pm

Spend Sunday afternoons drawing alongside some of the NGV’s most treasured works with Drop-by Drawing sessions led by local artists. Discover new drawing tips and tricks as artists take inspiration from the NGV Collection. Suitable for all skill levels, all materials provided.
