Presented by NGV as part of Melbourne Art Book Fair
In celebration of the Melbourne Art Book Fair 2021, the NGV Design Store’s stand will showcase the Fair’s impressive publishing program with a curated selection of current NGV titles connected to NGV exhibitions and broader programming.
In addition to a range of art and design titles as featured in the 2021 Fair program, a new collection of merchandise will be launched. This range is designed in collaboration with NGV Triennial artist Natasha Matila-Smith, inspired by her artwork, If I die, please delete my Soundcloud and Be my internet boyfriend. Working with the language and aesthetics of internet-based confessional text, Natasha Matila-Smith considers disembodied displays of emotion in the online world, often through the tropes of romance. Matila-Smith examines how online personalities intersect with real-world ones and what this means for modern identities and society at large. Made in Melbourne and exclusive to the NGV Design Store.
Entry to NGV is free with booked session times at NGV International.
