Building sandcastles, digging holes, swimming or snorkelling, what’s your favourite thing to do at the beach?
Artist Ella Dunn loves the beach too. Ella grew up by the sea exploring rock pools and making ‘drippy’ castles with wet sand. Ella now lives in Melbourne and paints her happy childhood memories using a paint called gouache.
Ella has created a beach scene for children to make their own. Using watercolour pencils, children can imagine who’s floating in the waves and laying on the beach towel on Ella’s beach.
