An unreliable guidebook to jewellery by Lisa Walker, edited by Kate Rhodes and Nella Themelios is published on the occasion of New Zealand jeweller Lisa Walker’s retrospective at RMIT Design Hub Gallery.
Lisa’s vast body of work is a career-length conversation with the question ‘What is jewellery?’ This publication weaves together three streams of writing: a meandering, poetic reflection on Lisa’s practice and interview questions posed by the editors. To launch the book we reflect on the question ‘How do we write about jewellery?’ with RMIT’s non/fiction Lab in a workshop discussion open to all.
