The Victorian Eco-Innovation Lab (VEIL) has worked across design, technology, environmental policy and design for over 30 years. VEIL’s ‘food people’ and Open Food Services present a workshop on food and food waste in urban systems by exploring two key questions: how do we design a sustainable food system? What is the role of an individual household in the city-wide food system, and how can we be better citizens?
Circular Thinking: Design Your Own Circular Food System is part of a series of hands-on workshops presented by Assemble Papers to communicate the principles of circular economy at a variety of scales. Starting from individual choices to encompass the global waste system, the series brings experts from across product design, urban design and urban management to guide participants through the steps towards zero waste.
