Get a glimpse behind the scenes and learn how the Pharaoh exhibition was created – from the selection of over 500 objects from the British Museum, to the way these objects are displayed, interpreted and experienced by visitors through an immersive exhibition design and accompanying soundscape.
In this special after-hours conversation, hosted by NGV Senior Curator Dr Miranda Wallace, discover how this monumental exhibition has been brought to life by a team of creatives.
Learn about the approach to the exhibition design by Peter King, founder of Studio Peter King, that takes you on a journey from dawn to dusk, and hear how composer Peter Corrigan responded to the exhibition through a modern soundscape commissioned by NGV. Corrigan’s soundscape was inspired by the experience of the exhibition itself, the epic scale of which seeks to convey the vast history of Egypt.
Following the conversation, join NGV Friday Nights for after-hours exhibition access, live music, bars and dining.
NGV Friday Nights tickets sold separately but can be added when purchasing your program ticket.
