Are you a university student new to Australia and Melbourne and looking to learn more about First Peoples art, culture and histories?

The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) and the Koorie Heritage Trust (KHT) invite you to join us for a series of social and creative programs that offer an engaging and vital grounding in First Peoples cultures.

Join us for an art-making workshop in the NGV studio with Taylah Eid. After exploring her work and practice, we will be guided by the artist to create our own works of textile art. Come for some conversation and for an enriching and creative experience that will deepen our knowledge and understanding of contemporary First Peoples’ art-making practice.

About Taylah Aimee Eid
Taylah is an textile designer and artist based in Narrm (Melbourne). Taylah’s practice is inspired by her love of nature, which comes from growing up in a beautiful place surrounded by ferns and lush trees. She is heavily influenced by her heritage and culture, her love of plants, cats and all things art.
