RMIT’s Centre for Design, one the first government-supported global environmental design projects, was an innovative program that spawned a generation of designers who have worked in industry to develop sustainable products, social design, and develop strategy, tools and training for industry. The centre’s work crossed a large range of industries including design consultancies, leading commercial interior furniture manufacturers and multinational appliance companies. Included in this session is a special viewing of the Centre for Design Archive, which comprises sketches, renderings, models and reports from household names including Schiavello, Kambrook, Blackmores and Caroma.
