Skylab Radio has been operating for 6 years as Naarm/Melbourne’s answer to a global online community radio station culture. At its core, Skylab is a freeform radio platform, completely independent and motivated to provide a platform to presenters that don’t already have one. Skylab proudly celebrates the eclectic music, artistic flair and cultural inclusiveness of the Naarm/Melbourne music scene.
Friday 19 January: Bertie & Tinika
Bertie is a Naarm-based DJ, Radio Host and Event Curator known for her energetic mix of disco movers, house thumpers, and genre blenders across the wider dance music spectrum. Her musical journeys are a fusion of percussive beats, acidic motifs, euphoric highlights, groovy undertakings and when the mood is right, something a little deeper and darker.
Tinika is more than just a DJ and producer; she's a sonic storyteller, a radio presenter, event curator and a DJ educator, who brings her unique experiences and influences to the forefront of her artistry inspired by the likes of bass driven rhythms, the dynamic world of remix culture, and the rich musical tapestry of the Afro Diaspora.

Yikes , a Boorloo based Wongi man is a multitalented and mad-skilled DJ, producer, radio presenter, artist, designer and promoter. Not one to stick to any genre, Yikes is known to glide through a variety of genres effortlessly tied together with his signature style of deep, broken and percussive sounds.
Sunday 21 January: Fantastic Man (Berlin/GER)
Fantastic Man is the solo project by Melbournian artist Mic Newman. First making an appearance in 2011 as a tongue-in-cheek alias for edits, today Fantastic Man’s musical profile has evolved into something far more difficult to pin down. Known for his expansive selections, Fantastic Man has crafted a steady stream of blissfully eclectic sought-after releases and remixes best known for their imaginative melodic themes and entrancing rhythms.
Monday 22 January: SHUKO b2b Tendai
Shuko, much like the origin of his name, occupies an ambiguous space. In production and performance, Shuko experiments with an eclectic collection of melodies, bass and percussion to produce a fluid motion between sounds from different genres and regions of the globe – all while making references to his Southern African roots.
Hailing from Harare, Zimbabwe, Tendai uniquely draws from his Southern African heritage to effortlessly bring fresh global sounds from ranging afro-diasporas to the forefront of the dancefloor.
