Are you interested in a visit to the National Gallery of Victoria but cannot physically visit? We would love to see you or your community group or aged care centre online through our program Gallery Visits You.

Join NGV Educators in conversation each month as they introduce highlight works from the NGV Collection and exhibitions. No prior art knowledge or experience is required.

In August we introduce some of the NGV’s recent acquisitions.  Explore some of the ideas and stories behind works in a range of media, from historical treasures such as Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen’s iconic Poster for the Company of the Black Cat from bohemian Paris of the late nineteenth century  o mid-twentieth century watercolour landscapes of Arrente Country in central Australia by Albert Namatjira and thought-provoking ceramics by contemporary Melbourne-based artist Kenny Pittock.
