NGV opens early for Members and their guests to privately view this landmark exhibition that explores the phenomenon of the Pharaoh, curated by the British Museum as part of the Melbourne Winter Masterpieces® series.

Through more than 500 objects, including monumental sculpture, architecture, temple statuary, exquisite jewellery, papyri, coffins and a rich array of funerary objects, Pharaoh will unpack the fascinating lives of these successive rulers, and explore the realities, mythologies and iconographies of kingship in ancient Egypt.
