Learn about the breadth of Rembrandt’s creative innovation with an Exhibition Introduction presented by NGV Curator Petra Kayser before viewing Rembrandt: True to life, a major exhibition devoted to the seventeenth-century Dutch master.

Rembrandt: True to life presents more than 100 etchings, alongside paintings and drawings from the NGV Collection and important loans from the Rijksmuseum, the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC, the Louvre Museum, the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, and the Teylers Museum in Haarlem. The works will be displayed in thematic groups of self-portraits and portraits, religious motifs, landscapes, nudes, and genre scenes, to give insight into the scope of Rembrandt’s oeuvre.

After attending the talk, view the exhibition before it opens to the public at the Members Exhibition Preview. Separate ticket required for the talk and  preview. To purchase tickets for the exhibition preview, click here.
