Learn about Cats & Dogs, an exhibition that explores humanity’s deep connection to our animal companions. Recognising the role cats and dogs have played in the moving image and pop culture, the NGV partners with the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) to present an exhibition that documents thousands of years of rich visual imagery in art and design of our furry friends.

NGV Curator Laurie Benson and NGV Curatorial Project Officer Imogen Mallia-Valjan introduce the exhibition exclusively for Members.

Featuring more than 200 objects from the NGV Collection, Cats & Dogs explores our close relationship with these animals across many cultures and periods, expressed through all media.
