Harmony with nature, simplicity, spontaneity and everyday life have informed a distinct Korean aesthetic throughout history. Encapsulating these traditions of art and minimalism is the unadorned white surface of a moon jar.

To establish the first overview of Korean art in Australia, the NGV has recently made several important acquisitions including a rare eighteenth century moon jar.

Hear more about its significance and other recent Korean acquisitions from NGV Curators Wayne Crothers and Annika Aitken.

This talk will be delivered online. To receive a reminder please register your attendance.
