DJs
Zequenx relies on her many cultural influences to accentuate her tastes and guide her through the expression of self as an artist, sculpting a space for those who love the rave. Born in Kashmir, raised in Chiangmai, Thailand and currently based in Goa, India, Zequenx’s musical philosophy is to create a journey that allows the listener to step outside of their mind for a moment and traverse through dark, psychedelic soundscapes. Zequenx has been learning, teaching and making electronic music passionately, and whether it’s acid , electro, various forms of techno, ambient or experimental music, she dives in head first to deliver a truly immersive experience for her fellow listeners.

Pacemakers are a collective who produce artistic projects that span across performance, sound, poetry and video. Adopting the lens of a casual stroll through the city, Pacemakers channel global sounds that accompany and comfort listeners, whilst providing the needed energy to complete said stroll.

YAYOI KUSAMA, THE EXHIBITION

Yayoi Kusama (b. 1929) is one of the world’s most important and provocative living artists. Active for over eight decades, her work has contributed to key art movements including minimalism, pop art and feminist art in the United States, Europe and her native Japan, transcending borders to establish a global presence.

Curated by the NGV, Yayoi Kusama is the largest ever exhibition of the artist’s work in Australia and one of the most comprehensive ever presented globally. The exhibition includes many works never-before-seen in this country as well as a diverse display of immersive rooms, including the global unveiling of the artist’s most recent kaleidoscopic infinity mirror room. The exhibition features close to 200 works spanning painting, sculpture, collage, fashion and installation drawn substantially from the artist’s personal collection.

Yayoi Kusama is divided into two parts, and your NGV Friday Nights ticket gives you unlimited access until 10pm. This means you can experience the exhibition at your own pace, with music, bars and dining in the Great Hall and Garden at your leisure.
