Industry Connections gives teens the chance to meet artists, industry leaders and creatives in this online event series. Through informal discussion and illustrated presentations, find out about their creative careers and gain insights into the diverse roles and opportunities in the creative industries. Speaker: Cassie Leatham
Cassie Leatham is from the Taungurung people of the Kulin Nation. She is an Indigenous artist, designer, master weaver, traditional dancer, bushtukka woman and educator. Cassie’s has exhibited nationally and internationally and her art works have been acquired by the National Gallery of Victoria, Koorie Heritage Trust Collection, and Melbourne Magistrates Court of Victoria.
She is passionate about teaching her skills to Indigenous and non-Indigenous people of all ages. Her aim is to give participants the opportunity to learn and understand Aboriginal culture, and develop knowledge of both historical and contemporary Aboriginal history.
