The Future Park International Design Ideas Competition

This event launches the The Future Park International Design Ideas Competition, which challenges landscape architects, urban designers, architects and planners to uncover new public spaces for Melbourne. Presented by the University of Melbourne, in partnership with AILA, the competition will run in conjunction with the 2019 International Festival of Landscape Architecture The Square and the Park to be held in Melbourne during October 2019. The event launches the competition website along with presentations from the co-creative directors of the Festival Dr Jillian Walliss, Kirsten Bauer and Cassandra Chilton, who will offer a provocation for the experimental creation of public space.
