The Using the NGV to teach free online teacher professional learning programs introduce opportunities for teaching and learning across the curriculum through works in the NGV Collection.

In February we focus on key works by First Nations artists and related upcoming exhibitions and programs. Discover ways to use art as a starting point for bringing First Nations perspectives into your classroom. This session is suitable for teachers of all levels and curriculum areas, including pre-service teachers.

Learning Objectives:

  • Develop an awareness of the diversity of practices in First Nations art and design represented in the NGV Collection.
  • Build confidence in exploring First Nations art, culture and history in the classroom.
  • Discover opportunities for future learning at the NGV including Professional Development and student programs offered by NGV Learn.
