Get prepared for VCE Product Design & Technology whilst being inspired by art and design at the NGV. Presented in collaboration with the Design and Technology Teachers Association (DATTA), this program begins with a folio masterclass with experienced educator and author, Jill Livett, where you will strengthen your knowledge and understanding of the folio requirements for VCE PD&T through a range of practical activities. Then, learn about Alexander McQueen: Mind, Mythos, Muse in an introductory talk with an NGV Educator. The program concludes with a self-guided viewing of the exhibition.
This program is suitable for current or future students of VCE Product Design & Technology.

Program Outline:
9:45am: Arrival and registration via the NGV Schools Entrance
10am-12pm: Folio masterclass with Jill Livett (NGV Learn Studios)
12pm-12.45pm: Break (BYO lunch)
12.45pm-1.30pm: Introduction to Alexander McQueen: Mind, Mythos, Muse with NGV Educator, Elizabeth Gage (NGV Education Theatre)
1.30pm: Program concludes. Entry to Alexander McQueen: Mind, Mythos, Muse

Learning Objectives
- Identify and discuss the folio requirements for the VCE PD&T school-assessed task, with a particular focus on Assessment Criteria 1-3.
- Interpret and respond to design briefs, evaluation criteria and methods of research and design.
- Analyse and interpret the creative process of Alexander McQueen as well as the themes and concepts in Alexander McQueen: Mind, Mythos, Muse.
