Federation series: 1901 –2001

Julie Dowling’s Federation Series 1901–2001, 2001, was created at the time of the centenary of Australia’s Federation. Each of the ten panels features a family member who was affected by policies and events in successive decades after Federation. This week, learn more about the faces painted in the centre of these panels and the stories told through the images and symbols that surround them.
