Young children and their families can learn some simple weaving skills such as binding and create their own woven creature in this workshop led by textile designer, artist and educator, Taylah Aimee Eid.
Taylah is an Indigenous textile designer and artist based in Naarm. When weaving, Taylah enjoys slowing down and taking a moment for herself or quietly chatting with friends. Families can join Taylah to have a yarn and learn some new skills.
This activity is best suited to children aged 3 years and above. Weaving supports children to build fine motor skills, persistence and problem-solving skills.
