This education resource accompanies the exhibition Andy Warhol’s Time Capsules (2005) which presented 15 ‘time capsules’ created by Warhol to document and catalogue his daily existence. These capsules contained more than 3,000 objects including newspaper clippings, children’s books, record albums, drawings and photographs, providing a window into the life of this iconic artist and cultural context for the social and artistic scene in America during his career. The resource features an artist’s biography, interviews with the exhibition curator and conservator, and an appraisal of pop art and culture, capsules and collections. These reference materials are accompanied by discussion points and the ‘postcard series’ of learning activities.
