- Analyse and corroborate sources from ancient Egypt in the NGV Collection, and ask questions about their accuracy, usefulness and reliability
- Examine the different perspectives of people in ancient Egypt and recognise that evidence may be limited for particular groups such as the non-elite
- Use primary sources from ancient Egypt to investigate significant beliefs associated with death and funerary customs such as belief in an afterlife, tomb burials and mummification practices
- Review the role and achievements of King Akhenaten and Queen Nefertiti in ancient Egypt, considering how they were perceived by their contemporaries and remembered today
- Examine the different methods and sources used by historians and archaeologists to investigate life in ancient Egypt
- Evaluate the significance and importance of conserving the remains and heritage of the past
