Australian fashion is experiencing a renaissance. An increasing number of national designers are emphasising artisanship in an age dominated by mass production. From bespoke tailoring to handmade accessories, many brands are investing in their own ateliers, giving designers more control over the creative process. At this year’s NGVWA Annual Lecture, prominent Australian designers will discuss the process of designing exceptional pieces that merge traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics.
