NGVWA presents ‘Love, Passion and Intrigue’

An Italian lunch inspired by one of the NGV’s most loved paintings, The Banquet of Cleopatra by Giambattista Tiepolo.
The painting captures the moment the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra triumphs in a battle of wills with the Roman Consul Mark Antony, a story central to one of history’s greatest love affairs.
Dr Ted Gott, NGV Senior Curator of International Art, reveals the extraordinary story of the painting’s journey and acquisition.
Lunch specially prepared by Andreas Gober, Head Chef, Restaurant Associates, and served at long tables.
Exquisite pearl stud earrings from Paspaley, a gift card from Christine on Collins, and an NGV Premium Membership to be raffled. Stunning floral arrangements created by Flowers Vasette that compliment details in the painting will be available for purchase.
You are welcome to bring friends or attend individually.
*no GST. This is an NGVWA fundraising event, with proceeds supporting art acquisition at the NGV. As a fundraising event, tickets are not refundable.
