NGVWA Spring Lunch 2023

Tue 5 Sep 2023, 12–3.30pm
Great Hall, NGV International
180 St Kilda Rd, Melbourne

Join us this September at the NGVWA Spring Lunch as we explore the theme My Art Is Food. Taking place in the NGV’s Great Hall on the first Tuesday of September, renowned Australian food writer Gemima Cody will take you on a culinary journey with three of the country’s most esteemed female chefs: Annie Smithers of du Fermier, Brigitte Hafner of Tedesca Osteria and Kate Reid of Lune Croissanterie.

A chef is an artist and food is their art. Australia has built a culinary scene with a life of its own, led by innovative chefs willing to push boundaries and invest countless hours honing their skills. At the NGVWA Spring Lunch, hear first-hand how these women became the leading artists of Australian food.

While we savour their inspired menu, guests will have the opportunity to support our fundraising efforts with a very special live auction and coveted raffle. Guests have the chance to bid on a two night escape* on Satellite Island, Tasmania or a two night wellness retreat at Polperro Farmhouse, Mornington Peninsula. With a gift pool exceeding $25,000 including gift certificates from PASPALEY, HUSK, MECCA and well renowned restaurants, the NGVWA Spring Lunch 2023 promises to be a true celebration of all things food and spring.
