For one night only, get exclusive access to the world-premiere exhibition, Yayoi Kusama, featuring infinity mirror rooms, larger-than-life dancing pumpkins, and immersive kaleidoscopic installations.

Get ready to dance the night away, learn new skills in an artist-led workshop, and dive into the vibrant world of Yayoi Kusama at NGV Teens: Art Party.

Meet like-minded people and make new friends in friendship speed dating sessions hosted by the creative collective, Ladies of Leisure, inside Yayoi Kusama’s The Obliteration Room.

ARTIST WORKSHOP WITH SUYEON PARK

Get creative in this drop-by art-making workshop with Korean Australian artist, Suyeon Park. Develop your drawing skills with the help of the artist, craft your own artwork and take home your creation.

YAYOI KUSAMA TOURS

From dancing pumpkins to kaleidoscopic infinity rooms, tour Yayoi Kusama with students from the University of Melbourne and discover insights into the life and work of the artist.

FACE PAINTING

Be inspired by Kusama’s love of polka dots, pumpkins and flowers and complete your party look with a custom face paint design, created especially for Art Party.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Art Party is your night to wear what makes you feel good! Dress up, dress down or be inspired by Yayoi Kusama’s world of spots, pumpkins and flowers.

CAN I BUY FOOD?

A range of food will be available for you to buy on the night including gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options. Free water stations are located in Gallery Kitchen and the Great Hall. This is a strictly alcohol and drug free event.
