Top Arts 2017 | Interview with Kanisha Farrell

Kanisha Farrell
Doll house 2016
Do you plan to pursue a career in creative industries?
Yes, I’m currently studying my Bachelor of Fashion Design so I plan to pursue a career in the fashion industry.
Who are your favourite artists at the moment?
My all time favourite artist is Van Gogh. I’m also into some of the newer up and coming Melbourne artists too.
What you learnt from the process of Top Arts 2017?
I have learnt that if you set goals and put effort into something you can succeed. Also that you can’t be afraid to give something a go.
Have you been working on any creative projects since your work was accepted into Top Arts?
Uni had kept me quite busy so I’ve been completing creative assignments. Hopefully during the trimester break I will be able to work on some of my own projects.
What advice would you give students going into Year 12, in how to prepare for Art or Studio Art?
I would suggest plan and set achievable goals. Also have fun and enjoy being able to express yourself.
