Criterion 1 –

Use of an exploration proposal to define the development of an individual design process that includes a plan of how the proposal will be undertaken

The exploration proposal should have an explanation on the focus and subject matter that is to be explored and developed as part of the design process. There needs to be a discussion of conceptual possibilities and how ideas will be explored. Art forms that will be part of the process must be referenced and an explanation given of how aesthetic qualities will be explored in relation to the stated ideas. Materials, techniques, process and skills should be referenced and discussed in relation to the ideas to be explored.
The exploration proposal underpins what will happen throughout the design process.
This exploration proposal is done with headings. Whilst we try and avoid headings it does work for some students.
