  • Painting, drawing and textiles (embroidery) are the art forms Milla has selected through which the studio process will be developed
  • The analysis and interpretation of sources of inspiration relevant to student ideas;
  • Milla has linked her conceptual possibilities with artistic inspiration such as Rembrandt and Nijdeka Akunyill Crosby.
  • Milla discusses the use of art elements, art principles and aesthetic qualities to be investigated with reference to Rembrandt’s use of chiaroscuro, luminous highlights, contrast and rich darkness.
  • The materials and techniques to be explored and developed, Milla has discussed the use of acrylic, watercolour, gouache and oil paint and embroidery on various surfaces. Milla has stated that she would like to explore chiaroscuro, tonal rendering, layering and impasto.

  • As referenced in the exploration proposal and work plan, cohesive relationships in the two artworks may be established through the depiction of subject matter and/or aesthetic qualities and/or application of materials, techniques and processes. art forms, materials and techniques, art elements, art principles, aesthetics, focus and subject matter.
  • Milla has carefully considered the way that the artworks are presented to enhance the overall cohesiveness of the artworks and emphasised their connectedness through the choice of conceptual possibilities, subject matter, materials, techniques and aesthetic qualities.
