More informationThe National Gallery of Victoria expands on the success of the Melbourne Art Book Fair with a prestigious international book prize, The Cornish Family Prize for Art and Design Publishing. The Cornish Family Prize is the first of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region, and will award the winner with $15,000 AUD, with additional $1,000 AUD prizes for up to five finalists.
Announced on 16 March 2018, local Melbourne publishing imprint Perimeter Editions have been named the winners of the Cornish Family Prize for Art and Design Publishing for their book To Note: Notation Across Disciplines.

Since its launch in 2015, the annual Melbourne Art Book Fair has attracted more than 50,000 visitors making it the most visited publishing event in the Asia-Pacific region.
From March 16-18 2018 the Melbourne Art Book Fair brings together the most creative emerging and established international and local publishers, artists and writers for a program of ideas, discussions and book launches.
Highlights include Amsterdam-based graphic design studio Experimental Jetset as Melbourne Art Book Fair symposium guests; The New Institute Rotterdam; e-flux, Berlin and Casco Art Institute: Working For The Commons, Utrecht; exploring new narratives for publishing in a special event; and a three-day festival of crosswords, spelling and grammar presented by writing school The Good Copy.
The symposium is presented by the RMIT Design Futures Lab with the support of the RMIT School of Design.
