Janet Beckhouse

Born 1955, Melbourne, Victoria; lives and works in Melbourne. Janet Beckhouse undertook a Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) at RMIT University in 2000 and completed a Master’s degree at Monash University in 2012. Her most recent exhibitions include Janet Beckhouse, Neon Parc, Melbourne, and Dance of the Dissident Daughter, Skepsi on Swanston, Melbourne, both 2012. Other notable projects include Look! New Perspectives on the Contemporary Collection, National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, 2009; New Acquisitions, National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, 2010; Private Gladiator, with André Ethier, Neon Parc, 2011; Navel-gazing, Utopian Slumps, Melbourne, 2012; and Art Brussels, Belgium, 2012.
