Benjamin Hancock is a Melbourne-based dancer and choreographer. He graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in 2008 with a Bachelor of Dance. Benjamin’s solo practice is a collision of information and observation. Either short or durational, the body is presented as a playground of interest, creation, imagination and purpose. He is a much sought after performer and has worked with some of Australia’s leading choreographers in contemporary dance. Benjamin is also a prolific solo performer, having presented work at Lucy Guerin Inc’s Pieces For Small Spaces, Faux Mo at the Mona Foma and Dark MOFO Festivals in Hobart and a variety of Melbourne clubs and short works festivals.
For Melbourne Now Benjamin Hancock will be performing a work as part of the February Solo Series.
