Melbourne has a rich community of contemporary dance and choreography, encompassing artists working with major companies to those working independently on pared back and site-specific projects with minimalist aesthetics. Curated by Antony Hamilton, Melbourne Now’s dance program gives an opportunity to consider different contemporary dance practices in Melbourne through ensemble presentations and solo works, as well as discussions, open studios, and choreography workshops for children.
