Lilian Steiner

Melbourne-based Lilian Steiner is a freelance contemporary dancer working within both company and independent environments.  As a choreographer, she works to investigate the body’s form and inherent intelligence, and the power of these to create wholly encompassing visual, sonic and kinaesthetic experiences.   Since graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts, Bachelor of Dance program in 2010, she has performed with Phillip Adams’ Balletlab, Above (MONA FOMA, 2011), Lucy Guerin Inc. and Rennie McDougall's SUPERTONE (Next Wave Festival, 2012) for which she was nominated for a Female Dancer Greenroom Award. Her most recent project has been in collaboration with visual artist Ash Keating on his recent video artwork, Continuum.

For Melbourne Now Lilian Steiner will be performing a work as part of the February Solo Series.
