Born 1977, Queensland; lives and works in Melbourne. Laith McGregor completed a Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2007. Exhibitions include New Fresh Cut, Institute of Modern Art, Brisbane, 2008; I Walk the Line: New Australian Drawing, Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney, 2009; Freehand: Recent Australian Drawing, Heide Museum of Modern Art, Melbourne, 2010; and The Bic Show, The White Gallery, Milan, Italy, 2010. In 2008 McGregor won the Robert Jacks Drawing Prize, Bendigo Art Gallery. In 2009 he was awarded the Qantas Foundation Encouragement of Australian Contemporary Art Award, and in 2012 he won the National Works on Paper Prize, Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery. He was awarded the Australia Council residency in Barcelona in 2012.
