Mira Gojak

Born 1963, Adelaide, South Australia; lives and works in Melbourne. Mira Gojak graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts in 1992, having previously completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in zoology and psychology at the University of Adelaide. Gojak has held numerous solo exhibitions, including Transfer Stations, Murray White Room, Melbourne, 2011; Mira Gojak, Switchback Gallery, Monash University, 2010; and Another Ground, Murray White Room, 2009. Major group exhibitions include NEW05, Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, Melbourne, 2005; Freehand: Recent Australian Drawing, Heide Museum of Modern Art, Melbourne, 2010; and Negotiating This World: Contemporary Australian Art, National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, 2012. In 2012 her work was included in 101 Contemporary Australian Artists, published by the National Gallery of Victoria.
