Louise Paramor is well known for her large-scale public art commissions, which combine formal concerns with a pop-inspired sensibility and which invite contemplation around our relationship to mass consumption. Situated in the garden at NGV International, Paramor’s Noble ape comprises an oversized fibreglass gorilla whimsically arranged with various industrial materials.
