Lyndell Brown and Charles Green have worked collaboratively since 1989, with the pair also counting Jon Cattapan as a long-time colleague and collaborator. All have been Official War Artists, with Brown/Green commissioned by the Australian War Memorial in 2007 and Cattapan in 2008. This series, War and Peace, explores the context of Australian peacekeeping missions and theatres of war, in an aesthetic that combines on-site observations with pictorial elements gathered via the image flow of screen culture and the Internet.
