Anastasia Klose’s drawings, performances and video works utilise a low-fi, YouTube-inspired aesthetic to explore the artist’s experiences of loneliness, public humiliation, romantic rejection and boredom with both humour and pathos. For the duration of Melbourne Now, Klose will personally staff a ‘knock-off’ shop in which she will sell artist-editioned merchandise, its ‘defective aesthetic’ recalling pirated goods and reject shops.
