For over two decades, Stephen Bram has worked across abstract painting and installation practices to explore methods for articulating space. Bram’s work Level 3, E29, NGV, 2013 is both sculpture and architecture. Constructed according to vanishing points beyond the confines of the NGV’s architecture, Bram’s installation prompts viewers to consider the architectural frame of the NGV while simultaneously imagining other spatial possibilities beyond the existing built form.
