Lydia Wegner’s largely analogue-based photographic practice is directed towards an exploration of pure abstraction. Wegner sources quotidian objects, usually from her studio, which she photographs so that they become virtually ambiguous. Featuring flattened, abstruse forms and striated colours, her images are visually dynamic while also eliciting curiosity in the viewer.
