Since he began exhibiting in the 1990s Bradd Westmoreland has developed a distinctive and intuitive approach to painting. In his imagined landscapes, enigmatic figures and objects are set within light-infused painterly backgrounds. In these two recent paintings, the artist forms visual dialogues between disparate elements unbound by narrative the relationships between these juxtaposed images can be spontaneous and joyous.
