In a practice spanning three decades, Elizabeth Newman has worked with painting, installation, fabric, collage, objects and text-based work. Utilising everyday materials and processes, Newman reduces each medium to its most essential form, seeking a mode of abstraction that manifests pre-conscious and primal gestures and which reveals a relationship to time and silence.
