Emily Floyd

Born 1972, Melbourne, Victoria; lives and works in Melbourne. Emily Floyd studied sculpture at RMIT University and is a lecturer at Monash University. Recent individual exhibitions include This Place Will Always Be Open, Monash University Museum of Art, Melbourne, 2012; Here Small Gestures Make Complex Structures, Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney, 2012; and New Graphic Sculpture, Anna Schwartz Gallery, Sydney, 2012. Her work has been shown widely in Australia and internationally, including Optimism, Queensland Art Gallery/ Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane, 2008; In the Balance: Art for a Changing World, Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney, 2010; Ten Ways to Look at the Past, National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, 2011; and Sleep on the Left Side, Seven Art Limited, New Delhi, 2012.
